We live on a very tight income and we can’t thank you enough. Charlie (chocolate lab) was the love of our life. The pain of losing him is so great. He was a very sweet and gentle lab. Dear PetFirst,  Recently ( Sept ) my beloved 4 year old Golden Retreiver, Brinkli, became ill.  After speaking to our vet, we proceeded to our animal ER and found she had ingested a part of a toy which had to be surgically removed.  The cost of this surgery was $3888.00.   One week, yes one week to the day of Brinkli's surgery, our 9 year old black lab Gemi, became very ill, disoriented and refused food: a sure sign something was very wrong.  Back to the ER we went.  To our horror his spleen had ruptured and he needed emergency surgery to save his life.  He awoke from surgery hungry (!) and ready to go home.  His surgery price tag was $3500.00.  We love our pups very much and would have sold our right arms to get them the care they needed- thanks to PetFirst we never worried about the cost of their care.  Our PetFirst policies on both paid almost $6000.00. 

Thank you PetFirst for enabling us to concentrate on Brinkli ( a registered Therapy Dog) and Gemi (a happy lab) when they needed us most.

Dear PetFirst, My name's Max Hunt and I'm 11 1/2 years old. I just had to write to tell you how happy my Mom is with my PetFirst Healthcare. She noticed I was limping and holding up my paw a few weeks ago. She took me to Dr. Ann, my favorite vet, suspecting that I had sprained my paw chasing that darned squirrel. To our surprise, we found out I had a tumor on my toe that had eaten the bone away. I had to have my toe amputated. I'm fine now but it cost Mom & Dad almost $800. to make me better. Imagine their surprise when they found out they were getting reimbursed $600. from my PetFirst policy! Mom says the insurance is worth every penny they pay for it!

My mom sure was happy with PetFirst's services! “I just wanted to write a quick note to say thank you for having this wonderful pet insurance available to pet owners. For years I had that "California" company and truly didn't get what I paid for in coverage and reimbursement. Starting January 1, 2011, poor Snoopy (our beagle we just adopted in late Oct 2010) got very sick. Three claims later (for the same illness), I'm totally pleased that it took only 3 weeks to process these 3 claims and today I got my last claim check. It's TRUE folks after your $100 deductible, you get 90% back on the balance of your claim. His stomach illness cost a total of $573.83 in vet bills. I got reimbursed $426.44 (out of pocket was only $147.39 which included my deductible). I have accident/illness coverage for him and our other dog Coco (a lab mix).

What peace of mind for excellent coverage, and it only costs me $17.26 a month for each dog!
