'HOUSEBROKEN' IN NEW HEADQUARTERS
Renovates 19th century building
into modern pet insurance and customer-service facility

- Nationwide pet insurance provider, PetFirst Healthcare, is newly
'housebroken' after completing a multi-million dollar renovation of a 19th
century military-distribution center into a modern headquarters and
customer-service facility.
Veterinarians, adoption agency executives, state and local government officials
from the southern Indiana region joined PetFirst employees and their pets for a
"ribbon-chewing" ceremony to open the new building.
 "It feels great to
finally be settled in," said Brent Hinton, CEO and founder of PetFirst. "It was
really exciting to open up the doors to our new facility and show people that
pet insurance is a simple way to protect the health of their furry family
members. Our new facility displays the special culture of our organization,
which is a major focus on customer service."
Although a relative newcomer to the pet insurance industry with three years to
its name, PetFirst has quickly forged partnerships that are making pet
insurance more mainstream. The company partners with retail giants such as
Kroger to offer pet insurance in store shopping aisles, and works with more
than 1,000 animal adoption agencies and veterinary offices across the country.
"The formation of our new headquarters was just one step in our growing
success," added Hinton. "We hope to continue this path of growth in providing
pet owners with peace of mind and a sense of security regarding their pet's
health."
The new PetFirst headquarters is located in Jeffersonville, Indiana's
"Quartermaster Station," which first opened in 1874 as a military goods
distribution center until outsourcing left it largely vacant after the Korean
War. When PetFirst learned of the redevelopment plan, they finalized lease
terms for a headquarters relocation to Quartermaster Station. PetFirst now
occupies 6,500 square feet of the 177,000-square-foot facility with offices and
a call center.
